A Modern Extention
The proposal was to add an additional floor for a marketing company based in the Old ‘Tate and Lyle’ Treacle Factory in Shepherd's Bush, West London. The proposed split-level upper floor has a central access to all levels, connecting the two sides of the building. The new floor areas are completely open plan, allowing maximum use of the space. A metal roof spans effortlessly above a continuous clerestory window. The project won the Hammersmith Society Award due to its positive contribution to the local streetscape.
